11 Positive COVID-19, Ligue 1 Postponed
PARIS: The Ligue 1 match between Lens and Nantes which was supposed to take place tonight had to be postponed after 11 members of the host team were found positive for COVID-19.
In a statement, the league organizers said 11 of the 30 Lens players were positively COVID-19 and had to postpone the match to another date.
Lens did not confirm the identities of the players involved, but local media reported two staff members, including coach Franck Haise, were also positive.
Marseille, meanwhile, beat Lorient 1-0 thanks to Argentine defense Leonardo Balerdi.
Defending champions Paris Saint-Germain beat Dijon 4-0 to jump to the top of Ligue 1 after Moise Kean and Kylian Mbappe each scored twice.
