Rashford Scored Hat-trick, Man Utd Beat Leipzig

MANCHESTER, United Kingdom: Marcus Rashford blasted a hat-trick in the second half as Manchester United led the Champions League group by beating German league leaders RB Leipzig 5-0 just now.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad, which started shaky at the start of the season, has now collected six points from two games after successfully overthrowing Paris Saint-Germain in the opening match.

United took the lead in the middle of the first half when Marcus Greenwood, 19, received the ball from Paul Pogba and kicked past Peter Gulacsi into the corner.

Substitute Rashford exploded three times after entering the 63rd minute and reminded Solskjaer he was a key pillar at Old Trafford.

Anthony Martial also made a name for himself as a scorer when he completed the penalty for the three-time European champion who is now leading three points on the Group H stage.

Greenwood, who was repatriated last month by England for violating the COVID-19 protocol, started the game with Martial with Rashford and Bruno Fernandes instead of being placed on the bench.
